Sometimes getting a few extra details can really save a bit of time and a lot of hassle when getting a car valuation.  It's much better to have a litte discourse or back and fourth about things rather than travel straight to the place to only then find out they offer half the price they said they would.

1. Mileage is king as the old trade saying used to go. Less miles, always means higher value.

2. Condition.  Being honest with the cars condition is critical. Can a 14 year old 160,000 mile car ever be 'mint condition?' Reasonable expections help manage the situation and 'good condition' cars are almost always worth more.

3. Service history.  It does pay to look after your car.  Service histroy is a good indication of the care taken with that particular motor vehicle.
